A very much-appreciated stay!

My wife and I had pre-booked a different hotel from this one, based on multiple positive reviews, and upon arrival we found it to be surprisingly poor. Rather than allow our 4-day trip to Vienna to be tainted by an uncomfortable place to stay, we did a quick search and found the Kaiserin Elisabeth, happily just a 10-minute walk from the initial place. The understanding and helpful woman at the front desk allowed us to look at two of their available rooms, and we selected the one that most suited us. And after the poor choice of the first hotel, and us now questioning our judgment, we were wonderfully surprised by everything at the Kaiserin Elisabeth! The room was clean and spacious, as was the well-equipped bathroom. While the hotel had many guests, and it is located in a very busy and popular part of the city, we did not hear any noise from our room over all four days we were there (except for the church bells marking the time). Everything about the room, and the hotel overall, had the air of comfort, security, and class! The morning breakfast buffet had many great options, all of which were tasty. And the serving staff were consistently available. The location of this hotel is not to be beat! It is right near St. Stephen's cathedral (the source of the bells), right off of a large, several street walking mall, and within walking distance of most of the main attractions in the center of Vienna. We greatly appreciate having had the chance to be "rescued" from our initial hotel, and we will not hesitate to return to the Kaiserin Elisabeth the next time we visit Vienna!

outstanding experience, the best location of an hotel you can have in Vienna. Staff was very helpful, spacious rooms, clean. Even it is in the heart of the city, there is no noise during the night because it is not on the main walking road. When i should visit Vienna again in the future, i certainly will book this hotel.

It is a must every time we visit Vienna. Everything is so pleasant: staff, room, cleanliness, location, style, atmosphere... This time, we had a superior double room that was absolutely lovely. As usual, the hotel staff made us feel at home. The breakfast team provided a cheerful morning start in a classical environment, with incredible attention to detail and good taste.

I'm almost reluctant to review,as We want this to be our secret place.It was our second time to stay and We weren't disappointed. This Hotel just wraps a snuggly feel around you from the time you step in.The desk staff are simply amazing, from Cathy to the two Gentlemen,it was beyond home from home. A special thank You to the lady in breakfast room with the long dark curly hair,Her smile,and infectious laugh is the perfect start to your day. Helpful beyond call of duty.Thank You everybody for looking after us so well.Our room was gorgeous,and so clean and maintained. We hope to get back again Thank You all for your super service and kindness to us. Fidelma& Peter Doyle.

This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel and it once again was lovely. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the location can't be beat. A 5 minute walk to St. Stephen's. The breakfast is traditional European style and the staff is wonderful. Make sure to ask them to make you an omelet. The rooms are clean, updated and spacious. I had friends stay there at the same time and they loved it as well!
